Why do you consider yourself a leader




















I am sure to lead at all times by providing the best model of enthusiasm and work ethic. I am open to new ideas and love to tackle a new project which, to me, embodies leadership.

While I understand the importance of listening to others during the job, I am a strong person who wants the best product to come out possible and assuming the role of a leader in the audio engineering department will help that happen.

I know when to listen and follow direction and I can easily step into a leadership role when it's required of me. When it comes to my patients, I am certainly more of a leader as I want them to view me as an authority when it comes to their health. I have found that being honest with people creates an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect. Those qualities, I feel, are essential when building rapport with patients and co-workers. My most recent lead role I had was forming an Alcohol and Drug support group for our community.

It has been going strong now for six months. I consider myself as someone with leadership capabilities and characteristics. I've learned a lot from my predecessors and supervisors along the way.

In the past, I have demonstrated my ability to step up to the challenge of sharing important news stories with producers and reporters and getting the story done before other stations.

However, right now, I am content with where I am in my career. I enjoy the hands-on care that I can give to my patients as an LPN. While there may come a time when I decide to go back to school, I don't foresee that in the immediate future. I have learnt to be patient, assertive and organized and this has helped me a lot in my job. I currently oversee three junior investigators and some administrative staff.

I guide team meetings, disseminate information, monitor performance, approve scheduling, and debrief my team. I have managed people for many years, but I believe that leadership does not always equate to management. I am sure to lead at all times by providing the best model of discretion and work ethic.

I believe that I know enough about the job that I make good decisions and my opinion is valued. What is the job description of team leader?
